About Dr. Sumit Gulati, Senior Consultant in Liver Transplant, Gastrointestinal OncoSurgeon, Laparoscopic Surgeon.

Dr. Gulati is an internationally trained Surgeon. He has been practising as a GI & Laparoscopic Surgeon since last 15 years. He has worked in many prestigious hospitals in India and abroad. This exposure has given him a vast experience in the field of HPB, GI Onco Surgery& Minimally Invasive Surgery/Laparoscopic Surgery.He specializes in various kinds of complicated Hepato-Pancreatico-Bilary Surgeries and is considered one of the finest Surgeons in Kolkata and in Eastern India.

Dr.Gulati completed his MBBS from Calcutta National Medical college and MS from IPGMER & SSKM hospital, Kolkata. He holds a diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from IRCAD, Strasbourg’s University Hospital, France and MRCS from Royal College of Surgeon,UK. He has done a fellowship in HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation from CLBS, New Delhi .

He has extensive experience working in UK for 5 years in Upper GI, Colorectal & Vascular Surgery. He has also associated himself with few charitable hospitals like Ramakrishna Mission Hospital . He is also involved in postgraduate and superspeciality teaching and research.

Dr Gulati has presented many papers and presentations which has been published in leading International journals. His contributions to the medical world has been well recognized and rewarded. He has delivered lectures on a regular basis in various national and International platforms.

He is an active member of various professional organisations and Association of Surgeons of India.

Dr Gulati is also a compassionate individual who gives utmost importance to his patients. He believes in the motto “patient comes first” and this beautiful attitude gets reflected in his treatment too. He have been working relentlessly to give a new lease of life to people with Cancer. He is aspiring to bring a change in quality of life of his patients.

He enjoys to spend leisure times with his daughter and reading. He is an avid swimmer and loves to spend time with nature.
